State Grid targets 200 GW annual wind and solar additions through 2030

State Grid Corp of China plans to connect an average of 200 GW of new wind and solar capacity annually through the end of the decade, while lifting renewable generation across its service area to more than 30% by 2030. The company says clean energy should meet all incremental electricity demand, putting transmission, system flexibility and clean-power dispatch at the centre of China next grid buildout.
