GB Solar commissions 2 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Gujarat

GB Solar Technologies has commissioned a 2 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Karjan, Gujarat. The factory adds domestic module capacity as India continues to push self-reliance in renewable energy manufacturing.

SolarQuarter reports that the newly operational Karjan facility is designed to expand GB Solar Technologies’ solar module production capacity. The 2 GW plant supports India’s broader effort to localize clean-energy manufacturing and reduce dependence on imported solar equipment. For project developers, additional domestic module supply can improve procurement optionality as utility and distributed solar demand keeps rising.
