Colombia awards 270 MW solar and 100 MW storage in clean energy auction

pv magazine reports that Colombia’s Ministry of Mines and Energy awarded 390 MWh per day under a hybrid solar-plus-storage product. The auction requires supply from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. mainly from solar generation and from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. using battery-shifted energy. The ministry said the result increases national installed storage capacity by about 1,000% and cleared at COP 315.87/kWh, below drought-period spot price spikes.
