Avaada energises first 3 GW phase of N-type TOPCon solar cell plant in India

Avaada Electro has energised the first 3 GW phase of a planned 6 GW N-type TOPCon solar cell facility in Maharashtra. The manufacturing milestone matters because India is scaling domestic cell capacity alongside its growing solar project pipeline.

Renewables Now reports that Avaada Electro, the solar manufacturing arm of Avaada Group, has powered up the first phase of its Maharashtra cell plant. The facility is planned for 6 GW of N-type TOPCon capacity, with the initial 3 GW now energised. For India's solar sector, domestic cell manufacturing is becoming a strategic piece of supply security, project economics and industrial policy.
