Waaree Renewable secures LoA for 291 MWp solar project with 280 MWh BESS

Waaree Renewable Technologies has received a Letter of Award for an EPC project comprising 291 MWp of ground-mounted solar and 280 MWh of battery storage. The order shows how India’s solar EPC market is moving toward integrated solar-plus-storage packages rather than standalone PV delivery.

The domestic commercial project was awarded by an Indian thermal power generator and is expected to be completed in FY28. The scope combines 291 MWp of solar PV with 280 MWh of BESS, adding to Waaree Renewable’s expanding clean-energy EPC pipeline. For developers, it is another signal that storage is becoming part of mainstream project design as grid requirements tighten.
