The project will be built at the 400/220 kV Choutuppal substation and includes 220 kV switchyard evacuation bays plus a transmission line to the interconnection point under TGTRANSCO supervision. Coal India expects completion within 11 months from the letter of award or land handover, whichever is later. The tender supports the company’s target to build 5 GW of cumulative renewable energy capacity by 2028-29 and strengthens India’s grid-scale storage pipeline.
