Argentina advances 232 bids totaling 8.3 GW in AlmaSADI battery tender

Argentina has advanced 232 battery storage bids totaling 8.3 GW in its AlmaSADI tender. The oversubscription is important because it shows how quickly Latin American power systems are moving toward storage-backed grid services.

Argentina's Energy Secretariat has cleared 232 of 235 bids to advance to the economic stage in the AlmaSADI battery storage tender. The qualified proposals total 8.3 GW, nearly 12 times the 700 MW reference target, showing very strong demand for storage services on the Argentine Interconnection System.
