SAEL secures 1 GWp of solar module orders in six months

SolarNews Brief

SAEL Solar P6 has received 1 GWp of PV module supply orders over the past six months. The contracted supply includes n-type TOPCon modules for domestic and international projects, anchored by a 585.8 MWp order for NTPC Renewable Energy’s Chitrakoot solar project.

SAEL said the Indian portion of the order book includes utility-scale projects in Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat, while international deliveries are also included. Its modules are listed under India’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers, a requirement for many government-backed solar projects. The company also reports 3.625 GW of TOPCon module manufacturing capacity and is building an integrated 5 GW cell and 5 GW module facility in Greater Noida. The orders point to continued demand for domestic manufacturing capacity as India scales utility PV deployment.
