The transaction values Aypa Power at around US$7 billion on an enterprise basis, or US$3 billion in equity value, and remains subject to regulatory approvals. Brookfield will acquire Aypa’s operational, under-construction and contracted BESS assets as well as its development pipeline. The platform’s operating and under-construction portfolio is 95% contracted under long-term agreements with an average remaining term of 17 years, making the deal one of the clearest signals of institutional appetite for standalone storage.
