Germany awards 209 MW in undersubscribed rooftop solar tender

Germany awarded 208.57 MW across 108 bids in its June rooftop and noise-barrier solar auction. The round remained undersubscribed against 296 MW offered, even though bid volume improved from the February auction.

Bundesnetzagentur received 125 bids totaling 238 MW for the June 1 tender and selected 108 bids after exclusions. Winning bids ranged from EUR 0.0084/kWh to EUR 0.10/kWh, while the weighted average award price rose to EUR 0.0972/kWh. The result matters because Germany’s distributed commercial solar segment is still clearing below tender volume despite policy support and a mature installer base.
